Balder - Mar 7, 2008

My dog is afraid of the Gothsicles, the way they go boom-tssit-boom, boom-tssit-boom, boom-tssit-boom! And they way they rock out in the middle of the night, to crowds of geeks and crowds of goths, who dance and cheer and sing their songs, which reference things from popular culture, like games and fonts and turn signals, their lyrics all sound innocent enough, but then why are they screaming like demons, and singing things that are obviously code, like up-up-down-down-left-left-right, that doesn't sound kosher, it sounds like a cheat, and if they're cheaters how can my dog trust them, and now they want to "Shoot the Dog," and maybe it will be a Triple Shot, but they don't even think that he's a Real Dog, so the thing that scares my dog the most, and haunts his days and haunts his nights, until he Decided to Become a Goth ...is the way they go boom-tssit-boom, boom-tssit-boom, boom-tssit-boom!

darkNES - Mar 7, 2008

And that should have said "meant". Aight, enough of that.

darkNES - Mar 7, 2008

Ack, I ment to say "too". I'm i'll.

darkNES - Mar 7, 2008

Rob, that was awesome. So sorry I missed your shout out at the Smackdown to, I had a mighty need.

Alchav - Mar 7, 2008

Who here can say they've created a (compound) word that has been used in a song by their favorite band? *raises hand*

wildcard9 - Mar 7, 2008

I remember trying to shoot that dog both in the home version of the game and the arcade version. I hate that snickering mutt!!

djseamus - Mar 7, 2008

Yes! Go postal on that vicious cur! Man, this song is like if Marylin Manson and the Stockholm Syndrome sung karaoke with Kanye West and Daft Punk, and then played video games afterwards. Devo you deserve another play on Dr. Demento, and The lead singer of the Gothsicles, (whatever your name is), you deserve another glass of water for those powerful vocals of yours.

DJ Particle - Mar 7, 2008

o/~ Gothalicious / (they're hot hot) / Gothalicious / (the beats will never stop stop) / Gothalicious / (so dance to what they got got) o/~ ;)

Waffleking - Mar 7, 2008

This is one of my favorite tracks on the new album. Anyone who hasn't bought it must do so NOW!

PowerSalad - Mar 7, 2008

kj - Mar 7, 2008

This is possibly the biggest new piece of awesome from MarsCon. Brilliant!

MrTuesday - Mar 7, 2008

I first heard this at Marscon. The song was pure brilliance. 20 years of my childhood angst put into one song. This is full of win.

djseamus - Mar 7, 2008

I've recently played a few free games on the net based on "Duck Hunt" where, thankfully, you CAN shoot the dog. I'll post a comment on the song here when I've heard it....but thank you Devospice and Gothiscles for paying homage to what was a favorite game of mine. (After Super Mario Bros, that is). Now why can't the Fump stop being so awesome? I guess it's just instinctual...Here FUMP! C'mere Boy....awww...good doggie!

Voice of Kiki - Mar 7, 2008

This is great, guys. I always hated that dog. At least 3 times during every round, I would try to shoot the stupid thing. If Nintendo really wanted to please consumers, they'd re-release the game with a special "Canine Carnage" option. This is an awesome track. (Also, Rob's mini-parody is totally FTW!)

Hurricane - Mar 7, 2008

The can be only one phrase for this song: Kepping laughing, mut- I'm reloading XD That was an awesome tune guys ^_^

PowerSalad - Mar 7, 2008

Holy FuMP, I've been filked!!!!! I can has Balder? Gothalicious and very Spicy fer sher - groovy being in the company of such demented awesomeness.

Dunderhead27 - Mar 9, 2008

David, it already is out

peterfump9 - Mar 9, 2008

Fatal Error has been released. Pre-orders were shipped on 3/8/08.

EMC - Mar 10, 2008

A flipping sweet song, guys.

scarybug - Mar 12, 2008

Tight!

Dunderhead27 - Mar 12, 2008

It was released at MarsCon 2008, I opened the first one ever!

- Mar 24, 2008

I can remember playing Duck Hunt when I was a lad, but I don't recall having such anger issues (except when I'd occassionally pound the controller over a game of Kirby's Adventure...)
Anyway, the whole song was good, but I'd say the ending (with the SFX) was a highlight...Well, that, and "I put a little target on his furry rear end!"

The first video game I ever played was a NES in my neighbor's basement, and guess what was on it? Oh, how that mutt deserved the divine retribution of my vermillion weapon... I'm glad that in a more abstracted, poetic way we all can feel that he has indeed gotten his just desserts.

Vladinatrix - Mar 27, 2018

Wow. This song is 10 years old!

Angelastic - Jul 9, 2021

I just found this video of someone shooting the dog. Everything I knew is wrong! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbMx5LhbxUw&t=110s
