Tom Lehrer: Satirist, Mathematician, Inventor? Top Chef? Barkeep? Perhaps all are correct. This song is a celebration of Mr. Lehrer, and all he's contributed to our lives. Piano courtesy of the 12 talented fingers of Bob Emmett of Project Sisyphus.

You've definitely hit Lehrer's style on the head.

Lyrically brilliant. Stylistically awesome. This is why he's called the *great* Luke Ski.

Fine, fine work, Luke and Bob!
maxgoof - May 5, 2009
Rhyming "smell a tin" with "gelatin"??? Why that's...that's....that's got Tom Lehrer written all over it!! Well done!

Excellent performance, O Great One!! Great lyrics!! But does Bob Emmett really have 12 fingers?
Derwood Bowen - May 5, 2009
Those lyrics sound like they could not have been whipped up quickly. I'd have to say you put a lot of work into this, and the result shows it! If I had the authority, I'd promote you to "The INCREDIBLE Luke Ski!"
djseamus - May 5, 2009
The Bing Crosby/Bill Cosby line was awesome, Luke, as was your Lehrer imatation. And Bob E....once again you claim rightful ownership of the title "Most Skilled Court Minstrel in the Kingdom of Dementia". Luke and Bob, have a shot on me.

I was in awe when you sprang this one at Penguicon. It's high craft and damned funny.

Epic tribute, epic song, epic win.

Thanks all for your comments. I've been a Tom Lehrer fan for decades and am amazed at how well Luke captured his snide, intellectual humor.

Consistently scaling the heights, this one is no exception, molto buono!!!!!! *Hic*!!!
saganth - May 9, 2009
Definitely one of your best works! You've got Lehrer's inflections down pat, and the wordplay is right on the money. Now if only you can get Lehrer himself to sing this!
