The "Psychopathic, Chronic, Schizophrenic Gollum Blues" is comedic tribute to Gollum of the Lord of the Rings. This was such a favorite of the Brobdingnagian Bards' fans that Marc Gunn re-recorded it for his CD "What Color Is Your Dragon?" Find out more about Marc Gunn at www.marcgunn.com.

Blues Celtic style. Like it.

Very nice autoharp work, here.

BTW Marc: Thanks for the package. I'll give it a listen and use some of the funnier stuff and a few more serious stuff on another podcast show I run. Haven't listened to it yet but I will.

davidtanny - I hear Marc has plans to explore the "Celtic blues" genre a little more. He could be an innovator in this direction... certainly much more of one than he is presently. Marc - an exellent re-mix of your Gollum song from "Memories of Middle Earth". Killer ad-libs and cool blues riffs. Since B.B. King named his guitar "Lucille", are you now going to give your autoharp a female name?

djseamus - how about Narsil? Worked for Balder ^_^
djseamus - Aug 3, 2009
So WHAT ABOUT Narsil? Is he a Celtic blues singer too? And by "Balder", do you mean "Rob Balder"? Narsil sounds more like a viking metal band to me.

dj - Narsil is the name of the sword that severed the one ring from the hand of evil...in The Lord of Rings. The book (and movie) from which subject of this song is derived. I thought it fitting.
And yes, by Balder, I mean Rob. On his CD "For Amusement Only" he parodied the country love song "Lucille" by Kenny Rogers on that very subject. It's available in the store on this very site.
