Consarn young-un's. Whippersnappers. I remember Mr. Terrific, Mrs. Beasley, Quake, Quisp, orange-flavored breakfast cereal, and Fireball XL-5....

Really depressing song if you're old (like me)- R&S rule!

LoonieBin - Oct 10, 2007

It's from the "Suck" album. Which I'm STILL waiting for the followup to.

This particular recording of "The Ancient One" was from one of The B.O.R.E.D. Tours -- and it was the first time we ever played it live. I remember I wasn't sure if it was going to be well received or not. It did pretty good...so we eventually recorded the "studio" version for our "Suck" CD...and even had Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz playing drums on the track. And that's the history of this recording of "The Ancient One."

Finally, a song about ME! Something I can relate to! Wish I could give that platter a spin on the turntable... I'd stack it right on top of my 12" of "The Reflex" and watch it drop and spin and play... sniff! *crackle* *crackle* sniff!
Those were the days! Curse you Raymond and Scum for underscoring my mortality! But un-curse you for a great FuMP diddy!

Ah yes....an acoustic power ballad dedicated to days past.....Very Dylanesque of you! You forgot "The Wonder Years", though, and how about that big, puffed-up Michelin tire man? "Because so much is riding on your Fump posting"...he he :^) Great work, guys.

LoonieBin - Oct 16, 2007

the Michelin man is still around...

At least we can take comfort in the fact that 10 or 20 years from now, someone will say "'Lost?' The TV Show? Is that like a missing persons show?"
