Robert Lund and Spaff.com Nuttin' But Spam
Robert Lund's 2003 CD Elves Gone Wild! collected many of the Christmas songs he'd done over the prior decade and added a whole bunch of new ones. Dr. Demento has played a few of the 20 tracks, but not this one, so odds are you haven't heard it. Someone who has heard it is Barry Gordon, who, as a six-year-old in the 50s, had a big hit with "Nuttin' for Christmas," of which this is a parody. Mr. Gordon called this reworking "much better than the original," a comment that lyricist Spaff brags about incessantly. The "Somebody emailed me" vocals, meanwhile, are provided by musical prodigies Sage and Macy Lund.

This song is now available on the following CDs:

I remember seeing a short music video a few years back on the local news with Robert singing this song. Although I had been familiar with Robert Lund for about a decade prior to that, it was the first time I had heard of this Spaff guy.

I've heard this song before, and it's awesome! Heck, I've heard, and I now own, this entire, crazy christmas-lovin' album! Lund and Spaff rock the holidays! Pass the egg nog, please!

Oh Lord this IS better than the original!!! Very very funny!

I knew this would happen someday...a FuMP I already own. What happened to new material?

Thanks, all. And, wow, someone already owns this? LoonieBin must be my mom. If it makes you feel better, Mom, consider this song a Bonus FuMP and "I Think Monroe Shot Rudolph" a regular FuMP (instead of vice-versa).

I don't own this already, so thanks! I love it. For Christmas, we're having spam, spam, spam, spam........

You've got...KIDS?!?!?!? Geez, one would think that you'd be so busy taking care of your offspring, you wouldn't have time for recording Matthew Sumsion's shlock, I mean, parodies. This one wasn't that bad, but I think some of your/his other works ("Band-aid", for example) are better.

Spaff + Lund = Happy Seamonkey
I own it too... get the whole disc! My fave is "Ding Fries Are Done". Have a Spaffy little Christmas....

Thanks, Peter and Seamonkette's man ho. "Ding Fries Are Done" is a cover - originally done by "Billy." Hee hee. I think we'll exclusively do covers from now on.
