Yes, ladies and gentlemen, The Road! Truly, if there's any greater road than The Road! I have yet to road on it. In many ways a road of any other road would road as road. Road road road roady road road, road road road road. Road the road in the other road...
[An unknown source bashes Tony with a shovel]
Hi! I'm Tony Goldmark and this is a song about the road. Baffled as I am that no one in the history of songwriting has ever attempted a song on the topic of The Road!, it thrills me to be the very first. Maybe next time I'll write the first-ever love song, that'll be fun. Anyway "The Road!" is from my upcoming (yes, STILL) album GOLDMARK AFTER DARK. Featuring Gary Potterton on guitar, Paul Olguin on bass, Paul Revelli on drums, Henry Salvia on keyboards, Joe Goldmark on pedal steel guitar, and Garth Webber on harmony vocals.

Dadgum ... that there was a mighty fine song! Except for that deer plural thing. But we'll fergive ya fer that!

"Deers" rhymes with "years" better and that's the joke. Good thing this isn't the Grammatically Accurate Music Project or I'd be in real trouble. Anyway, look for my next GaMP song soon.

I'm sorry, that would be my next GrAMP song. There goes my shot at the CUsoAMP, the Correct Use of Acronyms Music Project.

When I saw the title, I had some small hope that this would be a musical retelling of Kerouac's novel of the Beat Generation, and no small amount of fear that it might instead be a song based on the Cormac McCarthy novel. With hopes dashed and fears alleviated, I'm quite happy with the end results.
