That Doesn't Make Sense is a catchy ditty by Jonathan Hurley and Whitney Avalon about well-meaning parents trying to answer their daughter's question about religion. See the full music video! Avon Catalog | Avon Brochure ZA | Avon Brochure | Avon Brochure August 2019

This song makes me happy and no doubt this will be played on my "mom, don't listen" show every year.

Hooray! Whitney is here! :D Thanks so much for posting this, and I look forward to hearing more!

Woah, that was not the punchline I was expecting! Great!

I am a devout Catholic, but I don't mind laughing lightly about my faith. Yes to the Pope sitting on a magic chair - many Catholics really believe that. Yes also to the Scientology part- hilarious! A well crafted, well-sung funny song; great job! I am a world music/variety radio show host in Vermont, and will definately feature the song on my show "Shillelagh Safari" soon.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Soooo true.

Punch line took me by surprise. Nicely done.

Douglas Adams was right: every time we think that we have it all figured out, the universe is replaced with something weirder to keep us guessing.

Brilliant! And this may be some of the finest child-acting in the history of all stuff!

For some reason today I was imagining my daughter singing the lead while playing on her guitar while I did the reply part and then professing my beliefs in the last verse. Then I realized it would be done far worse than the original and far less funny.

I would very much like to hear an extended version of this song with eastern religions added (Hinduism, Buddhism, Shinto, Taoism, etc) and for good measure include the Celtic pantheon as well.

OK I just listened to this one at Steve Goodie's recommendation. Holy crap (literally!) This is amazing.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the positive comments and am delighted to now be a part of the FuMP family! [And, yes, that's my voice plus some engineering magic as the daughter, too.]

Really good and this comes from someone who goes to church.
