the great
Luke Ski
Neurotica This song contains language that may be objectionable to some listeners and may not be suitable for radio broadcast.
4th Grade Talent ShowIt has been said that the most powerful sexual organ in the human body is the brain. That is where one's most far-fetched vision can be brought from a mere figment to a synapse-firing alteration of the limbic system of your cerebral cortex. In this track, if you dare to dive in deep, you'll get a stark look inside the mind of 'the great Luke Ski', and see just what kinds of disturbing visions most commonly occupy the dark crevices of his fervid imagination...

To get us all even more in the mood, this tracks features vocal contributions from Blythe Renay of the Damsels of Dorkington and ShoEboX of Worm Quartet.

Music by the great Luke Ski & TV's Kyle. Final mix by TV's Kyle.

This track is from my new album "4th Grade Talent Show", which can be bought here at the FuMP store and on my Bandcamp page.

I find this a great song that happens to be funny; one that comes from the essence of the writer of said piece.

This may be my favorite Luke Ski song. Luke's list-based method of songwriting means he's at his best when he's able to cram ten po2unds of words into a five pound bag, better when he's got a personal stake in the subject matter, and even better when he falls on his sword. Or pen, I guess. Which is, y'know, mightier. Though either way, he's probably effing up a perfectly good bright orange shirt, unless the pen had orange ink in it. Holy crap I'm good at metaphors. Anyway, I appear on this song, so I can't really say anything nice about it without it appearing to be conflict of interest, so pretend I didn't say anything.

Well, I can say something about this song, since I didn't have anything to do with it. If I make a comment, will Luke Ski have to conjure up a response? Will anyone else conjure up a response? Should I make a comment about the sexy female voice in the song? I'm not a stalker. At least I haven't done that yet in my life. I liked everything in this song except the melody. And a C#minor chord would have fit in well at bar 37. And I Googled "Neurotica", and there were quite a few results. Why am I typing all of these words? At least they are complete sentences.

One of my favorite songs of yours! The live performance I saw at Nerd Fest was outstanding.

Oh, man! This song is the best! Except for that female voice. That voice suuuuuuucks.

It's a great song, but it hit a little too close to home to really be funny. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has that neurotica. It's like trying to think of a snappy comeback to something you heard last week and it's still keeping you up at night.

Love it.

Nicely done. And, my ghod, Shoebox sounds like a normal person! That's creepy! ;-)

I work on the assumption we all suffer from this to some degree. Unfortunately, I can tend to the Luke Ski end of the spectrum. :-) After working at a place for a year and a half, I asked one of the guys who interviewed me if offering me a choice of returning via the elevator or stairs at the conclusion of the interview was some sort of test. It wasn't, so who knows what he thought of me then.

I would like to go on record as saying that I would love to go hang out in Arkham with Harley.

Stop spying on my sessions!! I know the feelings in this song all too well.

That morning thought process sounds all too familiar. :)

Thank you for making this song. As Lee said, apparently everyone suffers from this to some degree. All this time I wondered if it was something specifically wrong with me. When I listen to the Fumpcast, you all sound so confident and funny, even when you let the rest of us into your insecurities. This may be your greatest album ever.
