Back in 2006, Tom Smith wrote and recorded this gospel numberwhich, among other things, sends a message to both the religious and the non-religious people of the world that they all have the power within them to live in peace with each other on this planet we share, despite our differing views on just how this world works. With how the past year has been going, I can't help but feel it speak to me lately, and wanted to share it with the world in my own way.
With Tom's permission, I whipped up a cover of this song, and performed it live to kick off Closing Ceremonies at FuMPFeST 2016 in Chicago. On stage with me as my tambourine tapping gospel choir were Tony Goldmark, Devo Spice, Carrie Dahlby, members of Court & Country, and the man himself, Tom Smith. I hope you all enjoy it, and more importantly, I wish you all love, peace, and prosperity.

This has been one of my favorites of Tom's since I first saw him perform it at a house concert in Rochester a gajillion years ago. This version of it is quite possibly one of my favorite things Luke's ever done. Fantastic take on a great song. Serious thumbs up to all involved.

Thank you for posting this today. I woke up at 4:15 this morning and dragged myself into work as the reality of returning to life from the weekend of FuMPFeST 2016 hit me hard.
