the great
Luke Ski

This song, a parody of "Handlebars" by the Flobots, is about my struggles with weight loss, or more to the point, my lack thereof due to my insufficient willpower when it comes to changing my behavior to positively effect my health and negatively effect the number that appears when I step on the scale. After debuting this at MarsCon, many people told me they could relate to the song and appreciated its message. Whether you fall into that category or not, I hope you all enjoy the song.

This song is now available on the following CDs:

Holy Moses, you really knocked it out of the park this time, Luke. I was laughing so hard....

No, I can't live my life with no candy bars. Heck, even my cat is a chocoholic.

I can relate to it too. There's so much temptation and so much work to change things. It's a good song for right after "cheap candy day".

By the way, bonus points for the charlotte's web.

As a not so anonymous member of Overeaters Anonymous, this song speaks to me deeply. I found myself singing "I can have a modicum of self control... of self control.." when trying to avoid scarring my son's leftovers this evening. Thank you for this song; thank you so very much.

No candy bars, no candy bars. This might have to be my theme songs at work on Candy bar Wednesdays. My waist is trying to approach my age, it won't ever make it, but the challenge has been made.

Damn, that was really good.

It says something about me that I recognized 6 of the letters in the logo immediately.

Once again, proof that "The Great" should be CAPITALIZED. So frikkin' well done, homie.

The sad part is, lately my mom and I have made a habit of buying and splitting pints of Haagen-Dazs STRAIGHT FROM THE CARTON, and a few days, she's even killed one by herself. Neither one of us is at the point of being overweight yet, but if we keep going at this rate, it won't take long.

I hate candy bars. because they are too flipping TASTY! why can't they be good for you??? Nailed it, Luke. Even when I do manage to get my weight where I want it, it's still an ongoing struggle to choose healthy food when there's so much tasty junk everywhere you go.
