In what we hope will become a yearly tradition, we have here an APRIL FOOLS DAY BONUS FuMP, available for free download in both 128k and 192k versions! This song submitted by 'the great Luke Ski' is his studio cover version of 'My Name Is Not Merv Griffin' by Gary Muller. The original version of 'Merv' was one of the runners-up in the Dr. Demento Novelty Song Contest sponsored and administered by Songwriters Resources and Services in 1981-82, and was later released on the vynil LP 'Demento's Momentos', now a comedy music collectors item. Luke performed this song at the MarsCon 2007 Dementia Smackdown concert, with background music and vocals courtesy of Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad, myspace.com/powersalad.

Since it's a cover and we were unable to secure the rights we decided to leave it off Volume 2. However, it's on there as a bonus video track which you can watch by putting the CD in your computer. It's the performance Luke gave at MarsCon.

The Waffle Brothers grew up with a copy of Demento's Momentos and "My Name Is Not Merv Griffin" was a song that definitely lead our young minds toward a warped musical direction. Well done, Luke! When I heard Gilbert I had to go change my pants.
