Dead by 28

Dead by 28 have been lurking in the Michigan and Ohio music scene for eons.Formed many moons ago by: Chris "DIZMAN" Grice and Shawn "Keymaster" Shaheen in the outskirts of Detroit Michigan. Dizman and Keymaster set out to create a B-Movie inspired sound, that fuses Horror-Comedy-Punk-Industrial-Rap Music with Movies, Cartoons, and Skit Comedy. The band performed extensively and played a bunch of venue's, they were banned from countless clubs that have since went out of business, and a few that haven't. While recording the demo " Kill The Babysitter" the band was "discovered" while recording at "The Disc Studio" By MEC's then Manager Greg R. After a brief conversation, Keymaster was sent to meet Mike E at the Funhouse Studio. He then played him the KTB demos. Things escalated quickly from there, and Dead by 28 became the debut band signed to Mike E. Clark's former record label "B4 records". The Legendary Musician/Producer recorded the bands first full-length album "The Spawning", along with the "Ressur-Wrecked" album and "Beating a Dead Whore" Split Single. Kevin " Sissie " Kelly joined the band during the recording sessions for "The Spawning" and has contributed amazing guitar work to all the bands subsequent releases. The band has since evolved into a DIY project and has used with Sage advice of MEC, to " learn how to Do it all ,on your own". Dizman and Keymaster then started their own record label "Black 13 Recordings". Black 13 recordings has since released the following Dead by 28 albums: "Made in Hell", "Dizman's Inferno" , Attacks!" and the recent cover song series "Mutation's and Desecration's". The label also released 2 album's from Dead by 28 side project " Puddle of Blood", " The 666th Symphony" and remix EP. POB was a weird comedy-horror-rap-punk fusion that Shawn and Chris created, while annoying Mike E Clark in the Funhouse Studio. This collaboration featured contributions from MEC.

In 2020 Black 13 Recordings released 2 new singles from Dead by 28 "Fuck this Shit and Zom-Boogey" in addition to
5 newly recorded cover songs: Negative creep (NIRVANA), Jump (Kriss Kros/ Parody) ,Fish Heads(BARNES & BARNES),
Punk Polka (THE TOONS), and Everybody Loves You When You're Dead (COP SHOOT COP).

Dead by 28's Audio catalog is currently available everywhere digital music can be consumed
( Apple Music, Spotify, I-Tunes, Amazon Music, YouTube, I Heart Radio, Pandora...ect".
DX28 also released 4 new music videos in 2020 on the bands official YouTube station.

2021 started off with the release of a new video for "Everybody Loves You When You're Dead", the bands 5th Cut from"Mutation's and Desecrations".
In Feb 2021 infamous and legendary demented music DJ "Dr . Demento" played the bands cover on "Punk Polka" on his weekly show.
The band released a new album of original music called "Cracked" , which was available on September 24th 2021.
In October 2021 Dr Demento played "Zom-boogey" on his weekly show. In late December the band released an original song called "Grievances- The Festivus song" thru the FUMP.

In early 2022 Dead by 28 wrote a song for The FUMP called "Weird Alcoholic".
The song was debuted April 9th 2022 on The Dr. Demento Show (Episode #22-15).

In 2022 DX28 released 3 more Mutations: I am a dope fiend (Jazzy Redd), Hot Dog In A Hallway (NOFX), and
You can own your own home, without even breaking my heart (Weird Paul). As well as the new original songs:
Weird Alcoholic, Vegan Stew 2022, and Dead Sexy. And a parody of Kris Kross's song "Jump" called "Filthy Underground Music Parody" with FUMP royalty Devo Spice, and special guests: The Great Luke-ski, Bad Beth, and The Consortium of Genius

In 2023 Dead by 28 released a new single called "She's a Horror", and new variants of "Negative Creep" and "F#ck this Sh*t". The band also released " The Puddle of Blood Experiment", a full-length remastered album compiling our favorite songs from the elusive DX28 side-project "Puddle of Blood" , a project formed in 2003 with producer Mike E Clark.
In 2024 the band released singles and music videos for "Crappy Birthday", and our parody "Whip It's".
in 2025 the band has already released our cover of "Slumber Party" and the full-length comedy album "SidePieces". SidePieces includes many of the songs released thru The FUMP.
Currently the band is recording a full length album planned for later this year. The first single is called "The Grind" and will be released on 4-11-2025.
