Psychotic rants about lawyers. A charity song to raise money for the 2008 bank bailout. A musical theater extravaganza about the Chilean mine disaster. This is the questionable musical history of Project Sisyphus-a deranged muscial creation from session keyboardist/producer Bob Emmet, who was looking for new ways to lose money between gigs. Featuring a growing assortment of singers (none ever seem to want to come back), the "band" (which has never performed anywhere) delivers a knockout punch to the insanity of everyday life and our first-world problems, from gender dysphoria to corporate greed.
The music consists of a mix of song parodies from oldies to newies, a smattering of originals, and a few badly-planned skits. Their first album, Finding Emo" was released in 2007 on iTunes as well as those old spinning silver discs. Now widely stolen all over the internet, the songs have surprisingly been featured on a lot of cool podcasts and radio shows including the Dr. Demento show. Future plans include an anthology of Jewish spirituals entitled "Shall We Gather At The Liver?"
