Robbie Ellis is primarily a piano comedian in Chicago. He was the Guest of Honor at MarsCon 2021 and has done feature-length musical comedy sets at MarsCon 2023, FuMPFest 2019, and venues around Chicago, the rest of the US, and his native New Zealand. He has two over-orchestrated multi-genre albums of comedy songs, Pumpkins (2018) and Metric System (2022).

He's a regular musical guest at The Paper Machete at The Green Mill; Tuesdays@9 at Chicago Dramatists; and Ten Dollar Comedy at The Second City. He's also a music director for improv, sketch, and musical theatre. He's a composer for orchestras, choirs, chamber ensembles etc, and has worked on comedy classical concerts with the Chicago Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago and Fourth Coast Ensemble. His day job is presenting and producing classical music radio on WFMT Chicago.
