Oh I wanted to write a pirate song
Cause everyone loves a pirate song
And everyone has a pirate song
But me.
So I sat at the keys and wracked my brain,
Tried real hard, but nothin' came,
Cause I've never sailed the Spanish Main
Nor even been to sea.
I spent half of February
With my rhyming dictionary
But I'm too contemporary
(Ordinary...sedentary...)
What good to me is poetry?
I want to see some piracy!
Then the powers that be transported me
To 1683!
