In 2011, I performed a parody of the Beatles' song "Taxman" at Marscon about the Avenger "Ant-Man" (which I recorded and released the following year in 2012). A few months after Marscon, Carrie Dahlby released another Beatles parody, this time tackling "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" for "Thor's Big Silver Hammer".
It was then that an idea was born: to make a parody for every Avenger, using a Beatles song. Now, to do every Avenger would be a bit too much of a task, so I kept it to the first batch of heroes, from the "Phase One" set of Avengers films (alright...there may be two bonus tracks).
So, presented here is the first of such tracks, from the newly released EP "Meet The Avengers", available this weekend at Marscon (and also, if you're not there, on Bandcamp).
