So, because Sony doesn't want to lose the Spider-Man franchise to Marvel Studios/Disney, they're rebooting the series with a new film in theaters TODAY, with our hero in high school again, despite the last film having been released only five years ago.
Personally, I would have preferred this as the reboot...
