We are kicking off Halloween month with a spooky tune that continues in Luke Ski's tradition of doing song parodies performed as an impersonation of a character from something in pop-culture. This time around he is portraying Scratch the ghost from the hilarious Disney Channel (and Disney+) animated TV series "The Ghost And Molly McGee", to the tune of Janis Joplin's version of "Me and Bobby McGee".

It's worth noting that Luke was inspired to write and record a demo this song back in April when he was asked to be a guest on Chandler Desrochers' Disney TV Animation themed podcast, "The Podcast Without A Cool Acronym", when his special guests were the creators of "The Ghost And Molly McGee", Bill Motz and Bob Roth, to talk about the Season 1 finale. They both got a kick out of the song, and Luke made plans to release a proper finished studio version of it, so here it is, just in time for all the grim grinning ghosts to come out and socialize. Chandler also made an excellent MUSIC VIDEO for the song using clips from the show which can be seen on YouTube.

A ghost living in Brighton, who's simply known as Scratch, (that's me.)
In the house I haunt, bringing misery to this town, (everything was perfect.)
When a station wagon pulled up, and a family moved in, (ugh!)
And a teenage girl turned my life upside down. (oh, boy.)

She busted in my attic, so I gave her my best frights, (MREAAH!!!)
But she just squeed at all my horrid boos. (that's b-o-o-s.)
I shrieked with creepy crawling bugs, but she just gave me several hugs,
So I made her an offer that *I* now can't refuse. (me and my big mouth)

"Enhappify" is a made up word meaning "so sweet that you'll puke,
Overflowing with excessive positivity." (yeeaachh!)

I said "for the rest of your days, I'll be there!", words I can't rebuke.
I cursed her, but it turns out the curse was on me. (*whine*)
Now I can't escape, we're 'The Ghost And Molly McGee'.

By the Flow of Failed Phantoms, the Ghost Council judges me,
While Molly brightens everybody's lives. ('brighten', that's clever wordplay)
I've tried hard to corrupt her, but it really is no use,
'Cuz dishonesty makes her break out in hives. (it scares me, and I'm a ghost!)

Whether it's Tug the Tornado, sobgoblins, or Howling Harriet,
Or a runaway turnip, Molly faces all these attacks! (it's like every 11 minutes)
But she always keeps her chin up, with her family by her side,
Especially Nin, 'cuz she'll make me some snacks. (Ha, keep 'em comin' Nin!)

"Andrea" is just another name like "G-E-O-F-F"!
At the bat mitzvah, Libby let the turtles run free! (I still preferred the bats.)

And in the end when I was facing a fate worse than death, (AAH!)
She became a wraith of joy and rescued me, and set us free!
Not bad for the first season of "Molly McGee".

Well she'll chase down a skunk, and nevermind the all the stinkin',
And then she'll bust rhymes with Abraham Lincoln, yeah!
That's my best friend, they call her Molly McGee, oh yeah!

Oh, she's filming a horror, then dancing the hora,
