When I first met
Devo Spice
in June of 1998, I purchased all of the cassette albums released up
to that point by his comedy rap group "Sudden Death".
One of them, the album "Brain Dead" released in 1995, had a
brilliant up-tempo nonsense song on it which prominently featured an
opening sound bite of one of my favorite scenes from "Young
Frankenstein", as well as a repeated sample during the chorus taken
from "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Polkas On 45". It remains to this day
one of my all-time favorite Sudden Death / Devo Spice songs. Every
year the comedy music track at MarsCon
concludes with a concert in which all the artists of the weekend get
back up on stage one more time and perform a cover of one of their
favorite comedy songs. This year, I decided to finally tackle that
song, "Abby Normal", featuring a cavalcade of many of my
favorite old cartoon & celebrity impressions from songs from my
past. That's all I've got to to say, so 'sed-a-give' it a listen!

So glad I stuck around for the Smackdown this year. :) As soon as you launched into the "now, that brain that you gave me" bit I had a feeling you were going to do this and whipped out my phone to record it. Well done, dude!
