“Most people don't know the words to Deck the Halls, so they just go falalalala. I find that disrespectful to Christmas, so I sing all the words. Like this.”
M. Spaff Sumsion: Concept & falalalyrics
Macy Lund: Vocals
Robert Lund: Vocals, instruments, production, what have you.
"Deck the Halls" has 1862 lyrics by Thomas Oliphant to "Nos Galan," a 16th-century Welsh carol. (He wrote new lyrics to an existing song? Can you even do that?)

Ha ha very clever what you did here, I'm reminded of PDQ Bach's "Art of The Ground Round." Splendid!

Thank you, gentlemen. God rest ye merry.
Bob: I just listened to "Art of the Ground Round." Thanks for introducing me to it! Peter Schickele (RIP 2024 at age 88) wrote great stuff! Aspirational indeed.

Yes, I'm a big Schickele fan here! Most of his stuff didn't get played by Dr. Demento except maybe that Beethoven sports announcer bit, but he did so many great pieces! Even the Christmas medley from his Portrait album has a similar vibe! But then again, there is a lot of humor that makes more sense if you're really into classical music, and I am majoring in piano, so that's probably why I like it.
