The King of Rock n Roll loved his comfort food.
His diet in his later years was rumored to add up to anywhere from 30,000 to 100,000 calories a day.
For you history buffs, the term "Fat Elvis" came about in 1992, when the US post office let the public vote on which stamp design to use to commemorate The King: early Elvis or mid-1970s Elvis (terms which quickly turned into "Skinny Elvis" and "Fat Elvis").
even more (and even more useless) useless trivia:
I once sat in his favorite booth at The Arcade (a Memphis restaurant), enjoying a peanut butter banana milkshake. as I slid over to leave, the vinyl on the seat ripped my hose. Elvis lives!
