Some always cherry pick verses from the Bible and occasionally twist the verses as if they know what the verse really means. Or sometimes they don't bother reading the entire verse just like how doomsday prophets love to ignore Matthew 24:36 because "This verse means nothing as we know when the end of the world will be and Jesus not knowing the last day was just being sarcastic." Great song.
