On November 19th, 2010, the seventh [yet somehow not final] installment of the Harry Potter movie series will hit every theater in the universe. Naturally this event requires me to create another batch of parodies based on the books that I love [and on the accompanying movies that inevitably disappoint me].
Fun fact: I've been told that until 2008, most FuMP people thought I wrote nothing but Harry Potter songs. Go figure.
True to form, I will be releasing Something To Sneeze At - Greatest Kids' Hits vol. 2 in November. "I Am The Horcrux" is one of the eleven new HP songs from the upcoming opus, and I am proud to present it, for you, three months early.
This song is about Book 7. Spoiler Alert: if you haven't read Book 7, this song will be completely incomprehensible. Actually, even if you HAVE read book 7, it's pretty incomprehensible. That's the "Walrus Effect" at work.
If none of this makes sense to you, don't worry... you're only seven books behind.
One more thing... several months ago, here on the FuMP, I was challenged to parody "I Am The Walrus." See here. Here you go, Senor Barnside... now can I have my PS3 back?
Copy the code below and paste it on your web site, blog, or anywhere you can input HTML to share this song.

Wow...you managed to reproduce the original sound on this, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. Even the lyrics (having read the book) are clear yet confusing. Well done.

One of your best productions, for sure. That CD's gonna be awesome.

One of my favorite tracks of yours. Super well done.

Wowee wow!!! Love it. I had to listen to it 3 times in a row. This must have been a lot of fun to make. I suspected those were real strings!!

Terrible!! Even by Steve Goodie standards.

I wonder if there will be a parody of this about Steve

Maybe someday

It's not often I snag a CD after hearing only one song off it.

This one'll make eleven.

As someone who has not had the time or desire to read the books but still enjoys the movies even knowing they will leave things out, I appreciate the lack of spoilers in the notes. Will listen to the song once I see the movie.

This is great. Really captured the sound too.

You nailed this! I'm constentlly amazed at your level of understanding of the books conveyed through the songs. You just don't recount popular facts, you get right down to the meat of what the characters are going through. This is awesome! I would say one of your best potter songs, but then I think about fly and dumbledore and it's a tough call. they are also so great!

Hey, I got a very good laff, Kudos Steve! I works :). We gray haired old (D&D) hippies enjoy the Harry Potter Phenomena likewise ... ops my age is showing *grin* I was in the seventh grade when

I only listen to the Potter audiobooks for Jim Dale. I haven't watched a Potter movie since the 2nd one released. But I liked this. After all, with a name like "Steve Goode" it has to be good.
