Power Salad returns to The FuMP with a look at the decline of grammer - er, grammar on teh interwebs adn beyond. Craig imagines there is one last person who knows the correct times to use "it's" or "its", something far too many supposedly edumacated people seem to not know. Lyrics by Craig Marks, music and all vocals/instruments by Chris Mezzolesta.

Every once in a while when I spot an error like that in public, a person asks me if I'm some sort of expert on the English language. I smile and reply, yes.

I get annoyed by many non dementia entries I see on Facebook. They're ignorant towards their grammar. I should point out this song and tell them to go there.
maxgoof - Jul 28, 2009
Yay! You wrote a song about me! Its about time! Whoops, I mean...
lukeski - Jul 28, 2009
It's a grammatically correct hit at the FuMP! Power Salad will surely take its song to the top of the demented charts!

Thank you! This annoys me more than people who are always using the word "infer" when they obviously mean "imply".

And how about people who say "yeah please", instead of "yes please"....that makes me steamed. It's a good song that Power Salad has posted here. A good song that Power Salad has posted here it is.

Post more grammar songs, I'll buy them all! I'm a high-school teacher, and I'll try ANYTHING to get my kids to spell correctly!

HIlarious song guys, I'm reminded of Dave Barry's explanation of the your/you're conundrum: "You're" is a contraction, which is a word uttered during childbirth, as in "hang on Marlene, here comes you're baby!"
shoebox - Aug 11, 2009
This is flippin' awesome. Nicely done, Salad!

@spaff: There is no "e" in grammar. ;^) As a self-appointed officer of The Grammar Police ("to serve and correct"), I find this song refreshingly funny. It's like a Schoolhouse Rock song for the grammatically-impaired.
