I haven't done a new "Star Trek" song since 2009. But today, to show my love and support for the hilarious animated comedy series "Star Trek: Lower Decks" leading into their 5th season premiere on October 24th on Paramount Plus, I am proud to present an original song three-and-a-half years in the making, "Lower Decks Keep It Movin'". The powers that be at Paramount decided that the 5th Season is to be Lower Decks' last. But if there is one thing you can count on regarding the past 58 years of Star Trek fandom, it's that we won't quit without a fight! (ahem, watch "Prodigy" on Netflix!) Henceforth the #SaveLowerDecks online campaign was born. I hope the Lower Decks fans out there will consider this song (and it's accompanying fan-video linked below) an anthem song for the #SaveLowerDecks campaign, and that everyone will share it far and wide online, so we can show the suits at Paramount that we want between 2 and 12 more seasons of the show, at least.
