Remember my Harry Potter song "Dumbledore"? It's a parody of Al Yankovic's "Hardware Store". In 2013, when Al's daughter Nina was 10, she found "Dumbledore" to be amazing, and insisted on hearing it over and over and over in the car. Don't believe me? Al mentioned this in an interview (at around 1:25), saying that Nina was much more interested in "Dumbledore" than in "Hardware Store." This made me want to write a song for Nina, cause it is SO COOL!

Then Al came to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last night. And I got to go backstage. And I got to say hi. And though I didn't get to sing "Nina" to him in person as I'd hoped, I did give him a CD to give to Nina, with this song and all my Harry Potter songs. And Al was just as amazingly nice and friendly as in all the reports I've heard. He remembered my name, and he said, "Oh, she'll love this! Thanks very much!"
