I got a spam e-mail with the subject "Oscilloscope Cathedral," and it immediately took me back to my days as an Electrical Engineering student, working in the lab late at night my eyes beheld an eerie sight with my fellow engineers, oscilloscopes glowing like a CRT candlelight vigil as we tweaked circuits and measured outputs while most non-engineering students were out getting drunk or laid. And thus this tune was born. EE101 is a prerequisite for this song, as anyone who hasn't taken at least a semester of Electrical Engineering will probably have a hard time keeping up. This one's for my Dad, who's been an EE professor for longer than I've been potty trained. In his honor, I programmed most of the music at GeneriCon, held at RPI.

I know I'm not getting much of this song but I'm still enjoying the hell out of it.

all day in my head it's been "hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm, hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm... IN MY OSCILLOSCOPE CATHEDRAL!!" Thanks, Warm Quarters.

Short, but fun. Also, I believe the phrase you meant to cross out was "an eerie SIGHT."

Egads. All the painful memories this brings back. Those horrible days when a 25 minute nap under a lab bench waiting for lab results was over 20% of my nightly sleep. At least now I can look back and laugh. Thanks for another great song. It's funny cuz it hurts.

What Dino-Mike said. Verbatim. Incidentally, I just re-listened to Faster Than a Speeding Mullet in a single sitting and thought my brain was going to explode. In a good way.

You're very right... I maybe caught %10 of that (I do like the "mega-hurtz" line though. Regardless, you stuff is always so fun to listen to 'cause of the energy level.
