I reminded me of 18 wheels on the Big Rid by Heywood Banks when he counts them in Roman Numerals

I like Ryan North's assessment of Roman numerals in How to Invent Everything: "Roman numerals require you to do mathematics in your head just to figure out what number you're dealing with, and we should all stop talking about them right away. Here are their only uses: making the numbers on clocks look nice, or putting them after your name to distinguish yourself if your parents couldn't even think of a single name for you that wasn't the exact same name one or both of them already had. Avoid."
