You know how when someone says you look good for your age, you think, hmm, is that really a compliment? Because if they thought you looked good, they'd say you look good, and not qualify it with "for your age."
Anyway, happy 250th birthday, America! You look good for your age!
Here's our birthday tribute. It's a parody of Robert Palmer's "Simply Irresistible." Of course.
Boston Tea Partiers:
M. Spaff Sumsion: Lyrics
Robert Lund: All vocals, all instruments, all everything else

Great job boys!

Thanks, Steve. This started out with a bit of a different tone. The first lines I wrote were:
Our habit of electing fools
Reflected in reflecting pools
But then I thought, nah, let's make this one a wish for the States to be United. "I hope that isn't risible."

Great job Spaff and Robert. But now I want to see what other lyrics you voted out ha ha!

hanks, Bob. As I admitted to Steve, this started out being about the reflecting pool. My first rhyme for the title was either going to be "Algae is perennial" or "Grifters are perennial." And Robert Palmer's original has a line - "There's no telling where the money went" - that I thought, DONE, using that as-is! But I'm glad I opted for less finger-pointing. This time.

Well done! The music and those lyrics were both top notch. And as far as the notch measuring system is concerned, that's pretty darn good.

Love this plus the title is so fitting. . America needs this song. Well done !! Love the lyrics , vocals and production ! The lyrical language is positive and uplifting without showing our anger or pain with naughty words about things going on in our nation but putting it out there with truths about our nation. . Well done Robert Lund and Soaff !

Thanks, Sulu! I sent this to our buddy Dr. Demento and he said it "Almost makes me want to un-retire." Thought you'd appreciate that.
