I grew up as a huge fan of Doctor Who, and over the years wrote a couple Doctor Who songs. Then in 2013, to celebrate the show's 50th anniversary, I put out a concept album called I Am The Doctor. That album features one song per incarnation of The Doctor, plus the title track, up through Matt Smith.

When that album was released they had just announced that Peter Capaldi was going to play the next incarnation of The Doctor. I decided to wait until his reign as The Doctor was up until I recorded a song for his Doctor. The studio version of this song is included on my latest album The Anarchist's Jokebook. This is the live recording from my Guest of Honor concert at MarsCon 2019.
