Vampire Penguins (2011 Re-Penged) EXPLICIT
Here I am covering one of my own songs again. A couple of things led to this. One is that I recorded the original on a 4-track Tascam 424, with vocal and keyboard tracks bounced all over the place, so I've never had a decent background track I could use to perform the song live. The other is that a while back I realized that I'd inadvertently stolen a keyboard riff from the original "Vampire Penguins" and turned it into a choral melody in my cover of Tony Goldmark's "I Know You're A Fish." So to avenge the pilfered riff, I figured it was only fair to rip off most of "Fish" and use it in this here remake of "Penguins." Also, penguins eat fish, so...yeah!
The musical intro for this track is over a minute long. Sorry.
