At Dragon*Con 2015, sitting a merch table fighting boredom with the Blibbering Humdingers, I watched people line up, hour after hour, waiting to get the go ahead from staff to form the "official" line. They weren't allowed to cross the yellow tape until the correct time. I had a guitar. I improvised the song, Kirsten Vaughan sang harmony (and rightly insisted that "waiting to wait in line" was funnier and more internally consistent than "waiting to stand in line." The crowds loved it. Sean Smith was performing with me that year and we did the song live in the concourse show. Watchers and passersby loved it.
