For some reason, I kept expecting the Howard Dean scream when the Wilhelm scream was played.
filkertom - May 29, 2007
AAAAAAH! Do I get the part?
LoonieBin - May 29, 2007
"PosScar"?
saganth - May 29, 2007
I've noticed that scream in many films! Always wondered about it. Did it really come from some poor guy getting bit by a crocodile tho or is that an urban legend? Funny song!

I had to look up "Wilhelm Scream" in Wikipedia to fully get it, but then came the YEAH!!!! Nice stuff, guys!

Yes, Pound... PosScar. That's my nickname for Possible Oscar. Those 3 "s"'s coming together make for one small "s" and one big "S". I thought it would be self-evident. As for YOUR nickname, I'll probably have to point that out too:
LoonieBin, or LB for short, which everyone knows is a Pound. Ta-daa!
Now back to focusing on PosScar! They ROCK! So do I have to have female parts like Carrie Dahlby to ever hope to be featured with PosScar? I may be able to arrange that if only for the rift in time/space that could create! I love you, sexy-sexy PosScar!

"They're making a Michael Bay film of your favorite cartoon." Yup. I thought my reaction to that news might have caused a hell of a scream, but I never expected to see it referenced on FuMP. :P Great song. One for all us really odd film geeks. Now if I could only quit playing this on repeat for hours...
LoonieBin - May 31, 2007
Hm, I don't know what film they're talking about, because the only one that jumps to mind is Transformers, which as will all know is going to be awesome. Hm...

ohmygod i love you

I'm no student of German now, but I think it's pronounce "Vil-hem", you know, like the Kaiser. No biggie, though....love the song's psuedo rock/rap-feel.
budsharpe - Jun 3, 2007
Pvt. Wilhelm's name is pronounced as "Wil-helm" in "The Charge at Feather River". Since he is the namesake for the scream, I feel justified using that pronunciation. Glad you liked the song!

Is this song a parody of another song? I swear it sounds like it is
budsharpe - Jun 4, 2007
Nope, this is an original.

This song should be played over every station everyday Friday at 5:00 XD. But seriously I think the last movie to get the Wilhelm Scream was 'Blades of Glory' when that skater took a dive. *Remenises* good times, goooood times.

I noticed that scream a lot too! I never knew it had a name, but I could absolutely tell it was the same one. Even worse is that one laugh that they often insert when kids are playing. I'm not sure if that one has a name or not.
