Hi everybody! I'm an "a capella" [voice-only] performer, so you won't hear any accompaniment in my songs, but I hope you like 'em anyway. This song was inspired in part by the character Gilly the Perky Goth in John Kovalic's webcomic "Dork Tower" and in part by a real-life perky goth girl I know.

Okay, this is astounding. Voice only, but I can hear the key, the accidentals, the modulations (at least two of them, probably three)...how did you DO that??

No need to apologize for the a capella aspect of your music -- your singing is great!! And, man, that song paints a scary picture! (Keep in mind that I'm an early-50ish old geek ... so that Perky Goth chick would definitely give me the willies! Of course, I can remember how my dad felt about me listening to Alice Cooper music when I was in high school.)

Max: Randy here. While I would love to be able to say I received top secret ninja voice training for 30 years in a Downtown Himalayas warehouse, the truth is I have a good voice, good pitch skills, and a good memory for melody, so once I write a "keeper tune" and practice running through it about ten times, I can pretty much reproduce it on demand. I am very thankful for that, believe me. :-) mrwompy: Thanks for the nice comments! I don't suppose you ever gave your dad reason to say "Earache, my eye!" though. ;-D

Tremendous, Randy. So glad to see you posting!

Good job with this, Randy. Superb vocals and songwriting too. With lyrics like that the vocals don't need instruments behind them.

I really liked this song. I would also like to hear it with background vocals as well.
