no WC... Carla Ulbrich in 2004

Technically, Paul McCartney did this parody before he even wrote the original!

Oh lord, Agrimorfee, I'm sorry--didn't mean to get you into a Battle of the Parodies with such an amazing author, Carla Ulbrich is among the best in the world of dementia, oh well--at least I'll get to hear her sing a Beatles song on Revenge, I've never heard it. . .but I really like her work so I'm looking forward to being slaughtered:)

I always love an in-joke for Beatles fans...

DJ Particle - Nov 10, 2010

Was the Paul McC version actually recorded?

weirdojace - Nov 10, 2010

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe. Could be among the thousands of Beatles bootlegs out there.

"Yesterday" started out as simply a melody that Paul came up with. "Scrambled eggs... how I'd love to see those sexy legs..." were his placeholder lyrics before he actually knew what the song was going to be.

IIRC, Paul came up with the melody in a dream.
